Why I wrote Myra's Magic Moment :

As a writer I have many occasions to deal with corporations and other businesses. As stories about people are my business I usually try to learn as much as I can -- without being too nosey -- about the individuals i meet, especially the obviously successful ones.

Some years ago I met a lady CEO who had a very interesting story. I wanted to write a book about her experiences but she felt that the less people knew about her the more successful she could be. And there is a lot of truth to that approach.

When I wrote The Magic Saguaro I had included in my cast of characters a man who had a very negative attitude towards his daughters. After all you have to have 'bad guys' to contrast with the 'good guys'. I realized that, here, was an opportunity to write a story about a Latina who, despite formidable odds, pursued a perch atop the  glass ceiling and actually made it happen.

Thus developed the novel about Myra and her experiences. And, yes, there is a hidden romance which becomes not so hidden.
